BETTER SAFE THAN SORRYIt happened again. So if I told you before I have to repeat. Some one came into our computer room in NJ with a virus. His grand son was on his computer and voila. My first advice was shut your modem when you are not on your computer. The next advice was too late for him but before trouble happens always create a system recovery disc which you can use in such an event.
First if you get a new computer some manufacturers provide you with it. If they don’t call up and find out how to make a recovery disc. On my HP it was 15 cd’s or 2 dvds.
IN XP HERES HOW TO DO IT
You go to all programs, accessories, system tools, backup, backup wizard, advanced mode, automated system recovery disc
And follow instructions
You will create a 2 disc recovery disc.
IN VISTA HOW TO DO IT
In control panel click on recovery manager
Then recovery factory programs
Hardware driver
Window vista
Please don’t get caught short create a restore disc ASAP
